Salman launched the coins in the capital Wednesday as an initiative of Being Human, his trust for needy people, in association with jewellery house Gitanjali. The proceeds from the coins will go to the charity.
"Gold and silver coins are a popular gift during the festive season and by choosing Being Human pure gold and silver coins, you support a good cause. This initiative is an opportunity for all of us to contribute in our small way towards society, " the actor told reporters here.
Every gold coin holds a personal message from Salman as a token of gratitude to the consumer. The gold coins are certified with 995 (Purity Gold) along with a BIS Hallmark which gives 100 per cent re-sale value. It comes in denominations of one gram, two grams, five grams, eight grams, 10 Grams, 25 Grams, 50 Grams and 100 Grams.
On the film front, the 43-year-old actor is happy with the success of his recently released film "Wanted" and is looking forward to his next release "Main Aur Mrs Khanna", co-starring Kareena Kapoor.
